Car Parts Courier

Overland Express have been shipping car parts to the UK and overseas for over 30 years, generally we find that when people ship car parts, or send car spares, the most popular are headlights, wheels, tyres, and car engine parts.

We offer a wide range of car parts courier services and various delivery options when you send car or van parts, depending on the size and weight of the car part being sent. We can ship, wing mirrors, head lights, child seats and roof racks. In fact, you can pretty much send any car parts through our wide range of car part couriers. Please contact us if you need any advice on shipping car parts.

Please note: we cannot send bumpers, body panels, doors, bonnets, boots, spoilers, car seats and tailgates.

We see turbos, alternators and starter motors shipped quite often through our services, normally these are being sent for refurbishment and are closely followed by gear box parts and brake discs being sent by courier within the UK and overseas.

But it's not just modern car parts that are sent by courier, a lot of our customers import and export vintage and classic car parts all over the world, we will even take care of your commercial invoice should you need to send car parts and accessories abroad.

For large, heavy items, such as shipping engines and gearboxes, we offer pallet delivery throughout the UK and Europe, at very reasonable prices.

When sending car parts, we only deal with reputable car part couriers such as DHL, DPD and UPS and due to our purchasing power, obtain huge discounts on their tariffs that are not available to the general public, this saving is passed on to our customers. So, when you send vehicle parts with Overland Express, you can be rest assured that your car parts delivery is in safe hands.

A cardboard box must be used for the outer packaging due to COVID-19 handling restrictions.

Please drain any oil or lubricants before sending car parts, as they are likely to be refused by the courier if not. When sending head lights, please make sure that these are sufficiently packed to avoid damage.

If sending items Internationally, like fuel tanks, radiators, engines and gearboxes, or any reservoirs that contain fluids, you will need a purge certificate that confirms that they have been drained and cleaned sufficiently for transport. This is essential for air transport, as they can then travel without a dangerous goods certificate.

Any glass items, such as windows, mirror's and windscreens, can be carried, but cannot be insured and are carried at your own risk. So please take some extra time to pack them correctly, to prevent any possible damage.

Use our 'Send Parcel' tool above to see how much we can save you on your deliveries of car parts.

Needless to say, when you, for example, send engine parts or interior parts, these car parts are fully insured (exclusions apply), furthermore, you do not even need to set up an account with us to begin using our services.

It is important that your car parts are sufficiently packed, so take a look at our packaging information before sending car parts which can be found below.

How to Send Car Parts by Courier

Prerequisites:

Bubble wrap
Parcel tape
Strong cardboard box
Packing peanuts

A cardboard box must be used for the outer packaging due to COVID-19 handling restrictions.

At Overland Express, we send many car parts, from wing mirrors and headlights, through to alloy wheels, tyres and exhausts.

When packing your items for shipping, there are a few things to consider, ensuring that your car parts arrive in the same condition that you sent them in.

Any parts that contain oil or petrol, or other hazardous liquids must be drained and cleaned of any residue before sending.

For items such as headlights, wing mirrors, or fragile items, select a box large enough that the item can be placed in the centre of the box, with adequate space around the item for packing. Wrap the item with several layers of bubble wrap and tape it securely in place. Make sure that any sharp edges are well protected and that no corners or edges are touching the sides of the box.

If sending multiple items within the same box, make sure that you leave adequate space between each item.

For larger items, such as gear boxes, a pallet is a better option. Please allow 24 hours' notice for any pallets and be prepared to assist the driver with loading, for any item weighing more than 30 kg.

If sending car parts outside of the UK, you will need to enclose a commercial invoice, detailing the items being sent and their value. We can provide you with all the necessary customs paperwork.
