Choosing a reliable delivery service for shipping digital pianos, electronic keyboards and synthesizers can be difficult, as they are extremely fragile, and most carriers do not offer compensation in the event of damage. Overland Express have been delivering keyboards for over 30 years and in response to the demands from customers, we arranged our own insurance, to fully cover them against loss or damage in transit. We can cover up to £20,000.00 per shipment.
From Roland, Korg and Yamaha, we can ship all makes of synthesizers and digital pianos, from small portable keyboards, up to full size 88 key arranger workstations. The only ones that we cannot ship, are upright pianos, due to the size.
Our keyboard shipping service is competitively priced and we only ship with the most reliable UK carriers, such as DHL, Parcel Force and UPS and whilst these carriers cannot fully insure your items, we can. Our rates are also lower than going to the carriers directly, due to our buying power. To get an instant quote, simply enter your details in the quote box above. If you do not know the exact post codes (actual postcodes will be required for shipping), enter any UK mainland post code. There may be a small surcharge to some remote parts of Scotland.

How to Pack and Ship Keyboards and Synthesizers
When preparing your keyboard for shipping, please take a few minutes to read our step by step guide on the best way to pack keyboards for shipping
Things you will need:
Manufactures box / Guitar box / flight case
Larger outer cardboard box
Packing peanuts
Foam corner pads
Bubble wrap
Strong parcel tape
Scissors
Using the manufactures packaging is always the best bet, as it was purpose made for the item and is the exact size. If you no longer have this, don't despair, as a guitar box with plenty of internal packaging can be used and these are available at most music shops. When using cardboard boxes, always choose double walled boxes, as they offer far greater protection.
If you are using a guitar box that is larger than the keyboard, you will need to cut this to size, allowing around 15cm extra in each dimension for packing materials and the end flaps.
Once you have a suitable sized box, wrap the keyboard in 2 or 3 layers of bubble wrap, the larger bubble type offers better cushioning and protection. Use corner protectors if you have them, or make some from folded layers of bubble wrap. Keep any cables separate, to avoid them scratching or damaging the keyboard. They can be packed in the same box, just make sure that there is sufficient packaging to keep them separated from the keyboard itself.
Once the keyboard is wrapped in bubble wrap, tape it in place with parcel tape and slide it into the box and fill any gaps with foam packing peanuts. If you do not have these, additional layers of bubble wrap can be used.
Check that there are no gaps within the box, by shaking the item from side to side, if there is any movement, add additional packaging material as required. We strongly recommend placing the box into a slightly larger outer box and filling any gaps with packing material, this will give it an additional level of protection.
If using a flight case, please place this in a slightly larger outer cardboard box, as most carriers add a surcharge, or even refuse items sent in bare flight cases, due to sharp edges and the case catching the conveyors. Again, fill any gaps between the case and outer box with packing materials.
Once you are happy with the packing, tape the box securely shut, with 2-3 layers of tape and apply additional tape to any edges.
Finally, print of your parcel label and the commercial invoice if shipping outside of the UK and attach to the box. You are now ready to ship your keyboard.
If you are insuring your item, please take a photo of the box, with the parcel label clearly visible.
